Ruto's candid message to his boss drew admiration from many on Social Media.
"Boss I recall that when we were elected, your age was 50+1, which was an excellent omen for Jubilee Alliance," Ruto said in a card on social media, referring to their win in March 2013, Uhuru was 51.
"From birth, you have walked step by step with our country, and are now leading in maturing it's promise. Your successful delivery of the jubilee promise will be a magnificent jewel in Kenya's crowning glory.
