Residents flocked to St Patrick’s Sifuyo Primary School to see a huge bird of prey that appeared to inspect KCPE exam results.
Villagers in West Ugenya said vultures are rarely seen and are associated with bad luck in the Luo tradition.
However, elders were split on the significance of the bird’s visit to the school.
They said ancestors are happy with the school’s performance in the KCPE exam.
All 33 candidates scored between 266 and 392 marks.
The bird walked through the gate, went to the administration office before turning to the notice board, where exam results were posted.
After a brief stop at the notice board, the bird walked to the adjacent Sifuyo Secondary School’s form four classroom.
Sifuyo East assistant chief Benedict Odongo said a vulture was last seen in the region in the 1970s.
