So So Sad! 7 Students Die In Moi Girls Dormitory Fire (Photos)

It’s a sad and dark morning for students, parents and the entire fraternity of the Moi Girls High School Nairobi.

Seven students have been reported dead in the early morning inferno that broke out in the school dormitory.

According to sources, the fire broke at 2am this morning burning part of the school’s dormitory that houses form one students.

16 others have been hospitalized and police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.

 “MOST OF THOSE INJURED AND ARE BEING HOSPITALIZED WERE AS A RESULT OF A STAMPEDE AS THEY WERE SCAMPERING FOR SAFETY,” SAID A TEACHER FROM THE SCHOOL.

Parents have started arriving at school to pick their students but the list of those who died and were injured hasn’t been released yet.

“IT WAS ALL PEACEFUL UNTIL THE WEE HOURS OF TODAY MORNING. IT’S HARD TO TELL WHAT HAPPENED,” NARRATED AN EMOTIONAL STUDENT.

Education CS Fred Matiang’i has asked Kenyans to stop speculating about the cause of the fire. Adding that the school would be closed for the next two weeks.
