Babu said no amount of intimidation will make him and other NASA leaders slow on their push for electoral justice.
"They were asked to leave immediately and deployed elsewhere. Their guns were also confiscated. I can mobilise my youths to protect me. I dare them to arrest me,' Babu told the Star on Wednesday.
The government has today withdrawn security detail attached to several NASA leaders.
The officers were disarmed and reassigned at the GSU headquarters.
“Mine was the first to be recalled on Tuesday and a few minutes later they recalled security officers attached to Siaya Senator James Orengo and Mbita North legislator Millie Odhiambo,” ODM Chairman John Mbadi said earlier on today.
“We will not bow down to intimidation and we will not recognize Uhuru as Kenya’s president.”
Despite Interior CS Fred Matiangi’s allegations that the government withdrew the police from Nairobi’s Uhuru Park following intelligence reports of a planned massacre, the officers and their bosses told the Star the order to recall the officers was issued at 5 pm, after the swearing-in ceremony of Raila Odinga.
