Harambee Stars Players Shower Birthday Boy McDonald Mariga With Warm Messages On His 31st Birthday

Harambee Stars footballers have showered Kenya's football icon, McDonald Mariga with warm birthday messages as he turns 31 today.

Born on 4th April 1987, Mariga, who is the elder brother to Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder and Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama, currently plies his trade in Italy where he plays for Serie B side, Latina.

Mariga is undoubtedly one of the most successful Kenyan exports having won a total of six major titles including the much coveted Champions League trophy with Inter Milan - making him one of the most decorated African players ever.

Mariga is the First and only Kenyan to win the Champions League.

He was the first Kenyan to play in La Liga and in serie A.
