Mapito Milia is the Swahili word for a Zebra Crossing.
The word is more of a direct translation seeing mapito translates to "passage" and milia is derived from the Swahili word for Zebra, punda milia.
It was not the only word that Yusuf Juma as he informed Gidi and Radio Jambo listeners that vidungule is the Swahili word for beads.
