So over the weekend, celebrated footballer, Lionel Messi walked his childhood sweetheart, Antonella Roccuzzo down the aisle as the two tied the knot.

The star studded wedding held at the plush hotel complex in Argentina saw more than 250 friends and family – including some of football’s biggest names jet into the South American country to witness the auspicious ceremony.

Women guests were reportedly encouraged to bring three dresses to avoid clashes or repeats of clothes, or even colours and textures, while male guests were told to take three different types of shirts.

The first kiss is a special time after any couple says: 'I do.' It used to signify the sealing of a legal bond and promises that they made to each other — now it is simply a moment which couples cherish.

But the kiss did not go too smoothly for this set of newlyweds. Messi was snapped leaning in to give an excruciatingly awkward peck to start their married life.
