KCB, who also won this year's Safaricom Sevens Series, successfully defended the title they won last year to add to the titles they won in 2005 and 2007. The Bankers, whose motto is "Lion Hearted Rugby", got to the finals after defeating Impala 25-19 in the quarterfinals and Nakuru RFC 25-21 in the finals.
Quins, who last won the title in 1998 after a 41-6 win over their yesterday's opponents, had it easy reaching the final following 30-13 and 20-3 victories over Mwamba and Mean Machine in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.
KCB had more reason to smile as all individual awards were scooped by players of their team. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) went to Allan Omuka with Peter Karia taking home the Most Promising Player award and also the Top Try Scorer award (4 tries). Essau Otieno's 21 points in the competition helped him win the Top Points Scorer Award.
In the 3rd-place play off, Nakuru RFC beat Mean Machine 26-14 to finish third.
In the Universities categories, Blak Blad beat USIU 17-16 to defend the title they won last year.
In the schools categories, Ofafa Jericho failed to defend their title as they lost 30-10 to Laiser Hill.
