A Naivasha police officer Monday evening, arrested gospel musician and entertainer DJMO for refusing to pay a bribe for alleged speeding and driving a car with tinted windows.

Speaking to the star on phone, DJ MO said the police officer stopped him along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway for speeding and asked for money in order to release him.

"The officer stopped me on the highway, and told me to give him 'something small' to cover up the whole incident, but then I refused the offer. This is when things got ugly,"DJ MO said.

"Unfortunately, the officer insisted that my car had tinted windows, and for that matter I needed to go to the station with them," he said

DJ MO added that after that incident, the police officer wanted to ride in his car but then he declined. This led to the officer calling  his six fellow officers all posted at the Naivasha police station for help.

"There is no law that states that a police officer should ride in my car," he said. The musician was later released after paying a fine of Sh10,000.
