Awendo stadium is still banned from hosting 'high-risk' football matches which involves Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, Football Kenya Federation has confirmed.
On it's statement, FKF insisted that the ban which has was effected in 2013, is still in force and that any club or match officials violating the ban will be subjected to 'severe' disciplinary action.
FKF further reiterated that it had appointed any match officials to handle today's purported Kenyan Premier League match between AFC Leopards and Sony Sugar at Awendo; stating that referees and match commissioners who go against the directive will be punished.
