Five facts for the Africa Cup of Nations Group D match between Guinea and Ivory Coast in Equatorial Guinea capital Malabo Tuesday:

-- Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou bagged a brace when Ivory Coast crushed Guinea 5-0 in a 2008 quarter-final -- the only previous Cup of Nations meeting between the countries.

-- France-born Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard has fond memories of central Africa having guided outsiders Zambia to the 2012 Cup of Nations title in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

-- Fellow Frenchman Michel Dussuyer is making his third Cup of Nations appearance as Guinea coach. His best showing with Sylli Nationale (national elephant) was a 2004 quarter-finals place.

-- Manchester City midfield dynamo Yaya Toure will skipper the Ivory Coast Elephants just 12 days after being voted African Footballer of the Year a record fourth consecutive time.

-- Turkey-based midfielder Kevin Constant was included in the Guinea squad despite refusing to play in the final 2015 qualifiers because of "difficult relations" with his teammates.
