A 24-year-old Mount Kenya University student, Stanley Lembara, was arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts on Thursday where he was charged with committing an unnatural act with a chicken belonging to his neighbour, Lincoln Kariuki.
The accused denied the charges before Makadara Senior Principal Magistrate Timothy Okello and was released on KES 50,000 bail or KES 100,000 bond. The case will be heard on June 12.
Stanley is said to have committed the act in the morning of March 16 this year. The student was caught pants down with the chicken by Lincoln who had got outside his house after he heard strange noises near his doorstep.
Together with other neighbours, Lincoln frogmarched Stanley to the Githurai AP Camp before being later taken to the Kasarani Police Station. The bleeding chicken was taken for a veterinary examination but later died.
