A potential Kenya Wildlife Service recruit was turned away on Friday for having a higher Score in KCSE than the grade required to join the service.
Fredrick Kipkoech had completed the physical part of the KWS recruitment exercise at Nyahururu Stadium in Laikipia County before being sent away.
He was disqualified after it was found that he had scored a C- in KCSE,2013. KWS requires candidates to have scored a D+ and below to join the service.
However the KWS Law Enforcement Academy Commandant Dickson Lesimirdana said candidates with higher grades will eventually leave the service for better job.
He added that they wanted to provide an opportunity for candidates with low grades to secure government jobs.
