Family Of Slain GSU Officer Erastus Chemorei Seek Compensation

The family of slain GSU Officer Erastus Chemorei filed a petition at the High Court on Thursday seeking compensation over his killing as well as violation of his rights.

Chemorei was killed by police in broad daylight in his Kitale home on February 19, 2005 and his unsolved murder is
unsolved killing is linked to the disappearance of the largest-ever drug consignment to be netted in the country.
By the time of his killing, Chemorei was in charge of a warehouse at Embakasi Training College where the drugs that were found in Malindi and Nairobi were kept.
The petition was filed by Chemorei’s widow Judith Chesoi, her son Elijah Chemorei, daughter Sarah Chemorei, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights and Abubakar Ndeima
