The GSU Officer from the Elite Squad Recce Company who lost his life in the Garissa University College on April 2 was laid to rest on Saturday in an emotional ceremony at Cheleget in Chepalungu, Bomet county.
Corporal Bernard Kipkemoi Tonui was eulogised by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto, National Assembly deputy speaker Joyce Laboso and the Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service Joseph Boinett as a hero who put his life on the line to save hundreds of Kenyans.
The corporal left behind a widow and four children.
