UMOJA: Suspected Robber Lynched By Angry Residents

A man was lynched in a botched robbery on Tuesday evening in Umoja area, Nairobi.

The man was in the company of three others and they had been attacking and robbing pedestrians before an alarm was raised which residents responded and beat one of the thugs to death as the rest managed to escape.

Following the incident, police who arrived at the scene of the incident urged residents to desist from lynching suspected thugs and instead catch the suspects and surrender them to the police for investigations and prosecution.
