Embassava SACCO has deregistered 314 matatus from its fleet of 733 vehicles saying it no longer owns them.
The SACCO asked the National Transport and Safety Authority to deregister the vehicles whose registration numbers it provided.
“They (Embassava management) told us that the owners of the vehicles have refused to cooperate to meet our requirements,” NTSA director general Francis Meja said when he confirmed the incident.
