Just weeks after a 28-year-old Ugandan musician, Guvnor Ace, got married to a 68-year-old British woman, yet another Ugandan man has made news for similar reasons.
According to New Vision Uganda, 27-year-old Steven Tikubuwana is head over heels in love with 70-year-old Zaituni Nakanda who claims to be pregnant by him despite a doctor's examination at a local hospital proving that she is not.
The couple, who met last year after Steven lost his job as a shamba, are planning to move together as they plan their wedding.
“I lost my job and was homeless for about two months. She welcomed me into her home. At first, she seemed afraid, but later warmed up to me,” Steven said.
Nakanda has been single since 1993 and she says getting married is a miracle.
She said that she is not bothered by the negative comments people are making in regards to their relationship and she is happy that Steven is never ashamed of introducing her as his wife.
