Controversial Helicopter church pastor Thomas Wahome has accused Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu of assaulting him and withholding his lorry.
Wahome claims Mutambu roughed him up and locked him inside his office for more than seven hours, when he went to inquire about the vehicle.
The pastor told police that he had gone to the MPs office along Ngong' Road, Nairobi, with three CID officers, whom he said were also locked up.
"I gave the MP my lorry in August to carry material for a bishop he knows, but since then he has refused to return it to me," The star quotes Wahome.
The bishop, who recorded a statement at Kilimani Police station on Monday, said he was rescued by flying squad officers.
Wahome said he received information that the MP had repainted the lorry and changed its number plates. He said whenever he asked for the vehicle, Mutambu would offer to pay the cost of hiring it for the day.
The Star further writes that when contacted for a comment, the MP denied the allegations saying Wahome "became wild" during the meeting at his office.
