Mama Ng'ethe is fond of calling Gidi and Ghost, "My boys! My babies!" and her catch phrase "Simu kuingia Radio Jambo ni kama kuingia ofisi ya Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu county governor)" never ceases to tickle Radio Jambo listeners among whom she is also very popular.
The ever-jovial Mama Ng'ethe was welcomed to the Radio Jambo van where she got to hug, kiss, high five and interact face to face with her favourite Radio Jambo presenters.
Gidi and Ghost were surprisingly pleased to note that Mama Ng'ethe has maintained very healthy and youthful looks and a fit body despite her old age.
"Mama Ng'ethe is that really you? You are still marketable," Gidi said.
"Oh! Yes I am! I am still youthful," a happy Mama Ng'ethe said who added that she had missed them a lot and was so happy to see them.
Urging the area residents to continue listening to and supporting Radio Jambo, Mama Ng'ethe took the occasion to tell fellow Radio Jambo listeners that there is no favouritism at Radio Jambo when it comes to picking listeners' calls.
She urged them to memorise the studio number well and even asked Gidi and Ghost to read it out again slowly and loudly.
Gidi and Ghost are accused of rapping the studio phone number, +254 20 44 45 975, and hence some fans do not get it.
"Radio Jambo is the only station with no favouritism and which allows fans to air their honest and frank opinion. If you do not know the studio numbers, ask Gidi and Ghost to tell you now so that you stop complaining that only calls by Mama Ng'ethe, Mama Queen and Norah get picked," she said.
Mama Ng'ethe also urged the area governor Jackson Mandago to renovate 64 stadium.
"64 stadium hosts so many events in Eldoret but it is in a very poor state. Even the flag is faded and we can not even have top football matches played here. Mandago needs to do something," she added.
Typical Mama Ng'ethe could not resist taking a jibe at Gidi's dark complexion as she asked him to move towards the light so that she can see him better.
Already with the microphone in hands, Mama Ng'ethe also had the chance to send greetings to her loving husband Kimani whom she credits for helping her remain young and healthy.
She also sent greetings to her neighbours, workmates and fellow Radio Jambo listeners.
Having already noticed her charisma and oratory skills, Gidi had the perfect advice for Mama Ng'ethe; "join politics".
To make her day even better, Mama Ng'ethe was given a Radio Jambo hamper to take home.
