Cancer patient killed inside Kenyatta national hospital ward

A patient at Kenyatta national hospital died on Saturday night under mysterious circumstances. The 42-year old man was allegedly stabbed repeatedly by an unknown attacker in his cancer ward at the Kenyatta national hospital.

Three nurses who were on duty on the night of the incident have been arrested for interrogations.

Meanwhile, at least 30% of residents in Marsabit County suffer from throat cancer according to a new report. KEMRI  researcher Samuel Gathere says men are the most affected. Gathere has however denied claims by the residents that the high cases were as a result of oil exploration in the area.
