Gidi and Tedd Josiah reunited on Friday morning when the breakfast presenter hosted the legendary producer on the weekly legendary segment, where the presenters recognize people who have made exemplary achievements in life, from music, charity work to acting.
Tedd Josiah a celebrated music producer, is highly regarded as one of the country's urban music pioneers, having started out his work as a gospel artist back in 1989 aged 19 before jumping ship to music production where made his breakthrough in the industry after producing Achieng' Abura's gospel album Sulwe back in early 90's.
After a short hiatus which saw Josiah fly to Europe where he ventured into film industry, he came back into the country where he has been nurturing talents through his SWARNB record label, which represents Kenya's freshest sound which fuses Swahili, Soul, calypso rhythm and blues, reggae and Benga altogether.
Under his new label, Teddy Josiah already boasts an array of talents with 21-year-old coast-based musician, Mswazzi Masauti already winning Kenyan music lovers.
In the audio below, Tedd Josiah also spoke about the missing piece in the local music puzzle highlighting a number of key areas artists need to improve in a bid to reclaim the airwaves, already saturated with Nigerian and Bongo music.
