Police on Wednesday morning shot dead two robbers who were trying to steal from Milano Hotel along Ronald Ngala street Nairobi.
The officers were following up on a tip-off by members of the public about a plan by a gang of four to raid some business premises along the busy street.
Nairobi OCPD Paul Wanjama, speaking to The STAR, said they had trailed the suspects from six in the morning.
Police are still pursuing the other two suspects who managed to escape.
The slain men, who had a pistol and bullets, are said to have been terrorizing businessmen in downtown Nairobi.
