Gidi takes a selfie with Ghost and The Kasangas.
On Friday, Gidi and Ghost were privileged to host Kenyan Gospel Music legends, The Kasangas, during the Waliobobea segment of the Gidi Na Ghost Asubuhi.
Japheth and Anne Kasanga have been blessing Kenyans with music for over three decades now.
They have been married since 1989 but they started singing together before they exchanged vows.
The Kasangas are blessed with four children and they have faith that one of them will ensure the continuity of their music dynasty.
Popular for songs such as Maisha Ya Mwanadamu, Nitumie Mimi Chombo and Jaribu Yesu, the Kasangas were undoubtedly one of the first superstars of Gospel music in Kenya.
Their success saw them, though they were very modest about how much they earn from their songs, be able to live off music as wells open shops in Nairobi, Mombasa and Nakuru through which they sell their music and those of other musicians.
Being established in the industry, they also took credit for nurturing over 100 Gospel musicians.
During the interview, The Kasangas shared their experience about how they grew from humble beginnings to achieving musical stardom and their full interview with Gidi and Ghost can be listened to in the audio clip below.
