President Uhuru Kenyatta has moved to reassure Kenyans that the banking sector is not about to collapse.
Speaking in Berlin, the head of state said he was supportive of the efforts by the central bank to clean up the banking sector and ensure rules and regulations governing the crucial sector are respected by all.
He asked CBK to ensure that all depositors at Chase bank and it's sister bank Rafiki micro finance get their money back.
This follows after Chase Bank was placed under receivership on Thursday causing a major stur by stranded Kenyans who were faithful customers of the bank.
