Switzerland played to a barren draw against hosts France in the Euro 2016 last group match, to finish second and book a last 16 spot in group A. France, who were already through to the next round dominated the match to finish top, with Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet coming close on several occasions.

Meanwhile, Albania beat Romania 1-0 for their first ever major tournament victory, to finish third in the pool and remain hopeful of reaching the next round as one of the four best third placed teams.

In earlier fixtures, Portugal were held to a barren draw by Austria in their second match at the Euro 2016 tournament, to remain third in pool F. Despite dominating the game, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a second half penalty and had a goal disallowed for offside as Austria held on for the point.

Another group F match saw table toppers Hungary play to a 1-1 draw with Iceland. Earlier on Belgium beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0 courtesy of a Romelu Lukaku double, to move to second in pool E.
