In earlier fixtures, Portugal were held to a barren draw by Austria in their second match at the Euro 2016 tournament, to remain third in pool F. Despite dominating the game, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a second half penalty and had a goal disallowed for offside as Austria held on for the point.
Another group F match saw table toppers Hungary play to a 1-1 draw with Iceland. Earlier on Belgium beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0 courtesy of a Romelu Lukaku double, to move to second in pool E.
