Despite being Kenya's most successful coach, Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee rarely talks about his time with the men's national team, Harambee Stars.
However months ago the Radio Jambo breakfast show co-host awed many when he sensationally revealed how much he used to earn as the national team coach, in his two stints between 2003-2004 and 2010.
Fast forward to today when the former goalkeeper, who also turned out for Tusker FC formerly Kenya breweries as a player, has revealed the reason or rather the criteria he used when he appointed former Kenyan international, Dennis Oliech as Harambee Stars captain.
According to the multi-talented presenter, he considered a number of crucial factors before he settled for Dennis Oliech as his best choice.
"When I appointed Oliech, I considered his leadership skills since he could lead from the front, communication skills, his contribution on the field among other things despite his tender age by then." Revealed Mulee on their daily morning chat.
Mulee appointed Oliech, Kenya's all time top scorer back in 2004 where he wore the captain armband for almost a decade, before Adel Amrouche striped him off the captaincy in 2013, and appointed Victor Wanyama as his replacement.
This came in the wake of Neymar's decision to step down as Brazil's captain, days after he led his team to Olympic glory in front of the home crowd, where he'll go down in history as the man who led Brazil to Olympic gold for the first time in men's football.
