It appears there was a break-in at the home of Kenyan international midfielder, McDonald Mariga last Saturday night, and he is said to have lost valuable belongings.
According to unconfirmed reports, Mariga who plays for Italy's second tier team FC Latina, returned home from their 4-1 defeat to Verona on Saturday night, only to find burglars had stolen electronics and clothes, including a 42 and 55 inch television sets and a play station.
Italian site, reports that the burglars invaded the 29-year-old's posh home located along Q4 district via an adjoining condominium balcony, before ransacking each room and eventually taking off with goods of unknown value.
This comes just a few months after burglars stole electronics and clothes, including a television set reportedly worth half a million shillings in his Lavington home.
Back in 2014, thieves broke into his brother, victor Wanyaman's house in England and stole property worth millions of shillings, including his Range Rover SUV.
As it happens in many estates in Nairobi, the criminals swept the then Southampton star's house clean before driving away with the SUV, worth Sh8 million.
The criminals carted away all his belongings in a big lorry, taking away cookers, washing machines, computers, a music system, microwaves and clothes. A close friend of the soccer star said the burglars who broke into Wanyama’s house took advantage of his absence, as he helped his side to a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in a late Monday English Premier League match.
