Sunderland's 10 years stay in the English premier league came to an end yesterday, after they lost 1-0 to Bournemouth, courtesy of Josh King's late goal.

Hull City moved three positions above after playing to a barren draw with Southampton but are still not safe from the drop.

Burnley moved a step closer to safety with a 2-0 win over a resurgent Crystal Palace, as West ham and Stoke played to a nil nil draw, with both sides still staring at the drop.

Meanwhile, Jamie Vardy was on target as outgoing champions Leicester City beat West Brom 1-0 to reach 40 points moving closer to maintaining top flight stay.

In Bundesliga, Bayern Munich thrashed Wolfsburg 6-0 to clinch the Bundesliga title for a record fifth straight season gifting manager Carlo Ancelotti a title in a fourth top European league.

Robert Lewandowski grabbed a brace as David Alaba, Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and Josh Kimmich added one each. Second placed Leipzig stayed 10 points behind, with a barren draw against FC Ingolstadt, while the Bavarian's rivals Borrussia Dortmund also played to a goalless draw with FC Köln, with three matches left.
