The Kenyan Premier League is the top flight football league in Kenya and is the breeding ground for top Kenyan talent that proceeds to play in top leagues abroad. Key international players who have graced the league in the past includes current Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama; Mcdonald Mariga, a UEFA Champions League winner with Inter Milan; Dennis Oliech and more recently Michael Olunga who plies his trade in the Chinese Premier league.
Despite many players leaving the league to seek greener pastures abroad; there is still a wealth of young and experienced players who entertain us week in week out.
Speaking at the media briefing this morning; KPL CEO Jack Oguda said: " KPL is excited that we finally have a local broadcaster with a Free To Air presence that has stepped in with a very short notice and that the league will continue to air in Kenyan households where soccer fans can watch their favourite teams"
A quote from Radio Africa CEO Patrick Quarcoo: “ For us at Radio Africa this confirms our commitment to growing local sports and is another direction in meeting the needs of our viewers on Bamba Sport channel 6.
