Tabitha Njeri Wanjiku who claimed to have been sent from the office of the governor was caught collecting names of residents who would wish to be recruited into the known 'Sonko Rescue Team'.
One of the residents Lucia Munyiva, who claims to be a representative of the Roysambu residents at the office of the governor said that she heard of a lady in the town who was collecting names of people willing to work with the sonko rescue team and she immediately left her house headed to where the recruitment was taking place to confirm that.
"I left immediately and once I arrived, I found the lady and sat down to listen to what she was saying," Lucia said.
She continued that the lady told them that they shall meet the next morning after writing down their names and each individual was to come with a photocopy of his or her National Identity card together with sh 1,500 as a non refundable fee for registration.
"I called about two people including our MCA to investigate if what the the lady said was true. The MCA said that he knows nothing about that," Lucia said.
The MCA also requested her to call him once they meet with Tabitha the next day and once they met, Lucia did as she was told. The MCA arrived accompanied by two cops and they arrested her.
She is detained at Kasarani police station.
