Speaking on Radio Jambo, he said given a chance he would swear on a Bible that there were no such plans.
"People pointing fingers that we as Jubilee rigged the elections is what is causing all these problems, because I was elected fairly as Nairobi Senator and I never tried to steal even a single vote and I'm certain that President Kenyatta also never tried to steal. Saying that there were plans to rig the elections, I promise you if you had a Bible here I would have swore that as a Jubilee leader there were no such plans. " He said.
Sakaja went on to condemn cases where Kenyans lose their lives in election related violence, adding that if there is anything that should be bringing Kenyans much closer than ever before, is the election period given that it's one of the ways Kenyans should be celebrating the fruits of independence.
It's saddening that Kenyans lose lives especially children lose their lives just because of elections, It should never be like that. If there's something that should be bringing people together than ever it's the elections because the right to vote is what our forefathers fought for so that we would have self determination and I am sorry that such things happen. He said while speaking to Ghost Mulee on the breakfast show.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the kind of insults and harsh words which Kenyans are being treated to from politicians, honorable Sakaja revealed that he will be hosting a number of Members of Parliament below the age of 35-years, on Thursday, in a bid to quell the rising political temperatures.
According to Sakaja, who is among the youngest elected politicians in the country, he is scheduled to meet with at least 50 newly elected young MP's from both houses to help them be part of the new generation that will practice "new politics".
"All these political temperatures caused by politicians through insults and hate speech should stop. I would like to urge my fellow Jubilee members as well as my friends in NASA to quell all the insults because they are not benefiting anyone, let us have new politics.
In fact tomorrow I will be meeting with over 50 MPs from Jubilee and NASA who are below the age of 35-years, the likes of Babu Owino and Jaguar where we will be talking on how to draw the path to the future of our country's future." Said Sakaja.
