Wanapenda Keroro: Taita Taveta Women Are The Drunkards In Kenya

Kilifi County leads in high consumption of alcohol among the youth according to Nacada.

Nacada Coast regional manager George Karisa says Mombasa and Taita Taveta follow in second and third position respectively.

Taita also has a high number of women who take alcohol while, Mombasa leads with the high number of youth taking hard drugs such as heroin and cocaine.

The government has banned teenagers from pubs, and clubs in Mombasa.

County commissioner Evans Achoki says some parents are exposing underage to alcohol and substance abuse.

Achoki says they are recommending harsh penalties for parents who take their underage children to establishments licenced to sell alcoholic beverages.
