Atajua hajui! Gang leader Akinyi held by police after three years of terrorizing Runda residents

Police are holding a suspected gang leader over several burglaries in Muthaiga, Lavington and Kileleshwa.

Ms Lavender Akinyi was arrested in a house in Runda where police had traced her to alongside four other men.

Police said the gang of five has been terrorizing residents for the last three years breaking into their houses and targeting their electronic goods and money.

Police are appealing to those who have lost property in such circumstances to report to Kilimani police station for processing and help them take the suspect to court.

Many residents have been complaining of sustained and increased incidents of break ins in the areas.
