The 5 things you didn't know about Top Tanzanian video vixen Agnes Masogange

The Tanzanian showbiz industry is mourning the passing on of top video vixen and socialite , who passed away last Friday evening (April 20).

Masogange succumbed to pneumonia and low blood pressure at the Mama Ngoma Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she had been hospitalized for four days.

The controversial socialite, real name Agnes Gerald, was known across the continent and below are the things you didn't know about her.

1. Real name

Masogange wasn't her real name. She adopted the Masogange name after she featured as a video vixen in Tanzanian artiste Belle 9’s song. Her real name is Agnes Gerald.

Nigerians artiste Davido was also linked to the socialite after photos of them hanging out together in 2015 November surfaced online. Davido came out to refute claims that they were dating and it seems it was only a fling.

"I don’t care what blogs write; true or fake. But when someone is calling me back to back all the way from another country crying about her fiancé seeing false news and is about to leave her; leave her in misery…! Until some crazy things happen, then everyone will start feeling [expletive] up. Please stop it. It is not fair to  Agnes and her boyfriend. Let them live and have their baby in peace. SMH," he tweeted.

She later hooked up with a Tanzanian actor Rammy Galis, who she dated for 11 months before parting ways. The two even shot a movie titled Hukumu together which is set to be released soon.

In another post he wrote:

"Msiba wako ni elimu na funzo kwetu , Mungu aliummba umauti ili watu wajiandae na safari .

Safari yako ya leo ni safari ya kila mwenye nafsi , tunaaumziwa na uharaka wa safari yako japo hata zetu pia hatuzijui .

Mungu ailaze roho yako mahali pema peponi , nakuombea na nitazidi kukuombea kwani umenipa kizingatio cha kujua umauti hauji kwa kupigiwa hodi."

Well, Masogange was dating a little known Tanzanian businessman at the time she died.

Agnes Masogange's body was taken to Leaders Grounds in Dar es Salaam for public viewing yesterday afternoon before it was transported to her rural home.

Masogange will be laid to rest at her father's home in Mbeya Province.
