The three had complained at DCI headquarters that Nyakundi had abused them on social media. Nyakundi was summoned and questioned before he was locked in at Muthaiga police station ahead of today’s arraignment.
It is not clear why the officers are holding him because the section of the law they want to use in charging him was declared unconstitutional.
Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident in which a man was found dead in his house after a possible suicide in Mukuru slums, Nairobi.
The man was found in his house by neighbors who called police. Police suspect suicide but an investigation has been opened to establish the truth.
Cases of suicide have been on the rise in the past months leaving four dead in the last week alone in the city. Societal problems have been cited as part of the reasons people commit suicide.
