Here is a list of a number of Kenyan celebrities who studied abroad and you might have never known. From the president to one of the most respected lawyers in Kenya.

1. Uhuru Kenyatta

The president of the republic of Kenya is one of the well known celebrities who studied abroad. He went to Amherst College in the United States of America where he studied political science.

2. Raila Odinga

The former Prime minister of the republic of Kenya is also one of the few who studied abroad in his early youthful years.

He was part of the philological faculty at the University of Leipzig in East Germany at the Herder institute for two years. Though it was after he had dropped out of Maranda school.

He got a scholarship to the Technical School, Magdeburg where he graduated with a Masters in Political Science.

3. Peter Kenneth

The former Gatanga constituency member of parliament did his masters in law degree from the university of Nairobi and executive programme international institute for management development in Lausanne, Switzerland.

4. Anyang Nyong'o

The current governor of Kisumu is among those who did their studies outside Kenya. He did a masters and Phd in political science at the University of Chicago.

5. Miguna Miguna

The lawyer who is currently in Canada also studied abroad. He did his Bachelor of Arts in political science and philosophy from the University of Toronto in 1990 and studied law at Osgoode Hall Law school of York University in Toronto.

6. PLO Lumumba

The renown lawyer, commonly known for his English terminologies and mastery of the language itself also studied abroad. He did his Phd in law of the sea in the University of Ghent in Belgium.
