Top 5 best paid football managers in 2018/19

The 2018/19 football season is nearing it's edge with just less than 10 league games and three Champions league matches in the offing.

This season has seen a number of movements when it comes to hiring and firing football managers across Europe, some which have ended with big cheque payments.

Manchester United part ways with Jose Mourinho in December 2018 following their 3-1 loss to Liverpool. Mourinho and his staff cashed in £19.6m as a result.

Thierry Henry left Belgium national team to take up a coaching role at Monaco which only lasted three months. Henry cashed in 8 million pounds as a result.

The two managers managed to feature into the list of top 5 best paid managers despite them being rendered jobless.

Others who featured include Atleti's Diego Madrid and Man City's Pep Guardiola.
