Two bodies were separately retrieved from the Indian Ocean at the coast on Monday.
Members of the public found the first one floating below the Nyali Bridge and called the Mombasa county government fire brigade who retrieved it.
The second one was found on the shores of the ocean a few metres from Tamarind hotel.
“I have received the information about the two deaths but I am still waiting for a full report on the same. I will brief you in the course of the day,” Kisauni OCPD Richard Ngatia told the Star on phone.
The body found below the bridge had decomposed and was clothed in a matatu driver's uniform. It is alleged that the man fell into the ocean and drowned.
The bodies were taken to the Coast Provincial General Hospital mortuary.
