Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu has met the woman who has accused him of sacking her after she declined his sexual advances.
The MP and his accuser are said to have agreed to settle the matter out of court after a meeting that lasted close to two hours at a city restaurant under the watchful eye of a mediation team comprising close associates of both parties.
Waititu, who has denied sending an offensive text message to Susan Wambui, met his accuser in a coffee house in the Thika Road Mall on Wednesday March 4.
Wambui arrived at the coffee house in advance, accompanied by a woman and a bespectacled man said to be an official of the Juja CDF committee.
According to The Star, the three, who were joined by a man on crutches, and the MP settled down for a discussion.
Moments later, they shifted to an adjacent restaurant, popular for its pizza.
At one point, the man in glasses, who seemed to be driving the agenda, was overheard speaking in Kikuyu, saying that even if the MP does not agree to their terms, they would leave him alone.
