British Broadcasters ITV News have released a video footage showing a fierce gun battle between Al Shabaab militants and KDF soldiers when the former attempted an attack on a military barrack in Lamu on Sunday 14th June this year.
According to ITV, the video was taken by British Jihadi Thomas Evans who was killed in the botched attack.
Evans not only filmed the raid and the exchange of gunfire between the two forces, but also captured images of the militia embracing and chanting as they prepared for the attack. The video, which can be watched , also shows members of the militia group making explosive devices which were intended to be used in the attack.
