Police Kill Two Suspected Thugs In Kayole

Police in Nairobi killed two suspected thugs on Sunday night in Kayole.

The suspects were killed in two separate incidences, of which one left a police officer nursing a gun wound.

Pistols were recovered from the suspects and one of the weapons was said to have been stolen from a police officer in the area two months ago.

One of the suspects was shot dead outside a bar in the area where he and three others had planned to stage a robbery. Police have launched a search for the other gang members.

The second one was killed in a shootout with police on the road. It was during this incident that a police officer was shot and wounded in the thigh.

The officer is admitted at the Mama Lucy Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
