New KCC increases producer milk prices amid tight competition in dairy sector

NEW KCC has announced an increment in producer prices of milk as the dairy firm moves to consolidate its gains in seeking to play a central role in the dairy sector in the country.

Modernization of the state owned firm has now seen it raise control of the raw milk market intake share to 35 percent and CEO Nixon Sigei says they have increased the prices from about sh 36 per litre to range between sh 38 to sh 40 per litre.

Sigei says New KCC now pays farmers more than Sh 5 Billion annually.
