Two years after his protracted big money move to Sofapaka burly forward Enoch Agwanda is showing the talent that convinced Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa to fork out Sh300,000 to lure him from Sony Sugar.
Agwanda’s form throughout the season has pushed “Batoto Ba Mungu” to within three points of clinching a second league title.
Now With the GOtv Shield final looming large the 22–year–old striker is ready to haul in the first trophy of his senior football career
“I have enjoyed this season even though we were disappointed to lose out on the league we were proud of our effort ”said the former under 20 international
“Everyone has played his part in our season so far and we hope to crown it all by lifting the GOtv on Saturday”added Agwanda
Sofapaka’s fearsome attack led by Agwanda, veteran goal poacher John Baraza and box to box midfielder Tony Ndolo ensures that they will start as favourites against Posta Rangers in the final set fro Afraha stadium in Nakuru.Agwanda however played down the favourites tag stating a team that is in the final must be considered worthy opponents
“We are not going into the match thinking that we are favourites. Rangers have players who have won things with other teams in the past. We are going to try and play our game and hopefully win the shield” he remarked.
Meanwhile Posta Rangers coach George Maina has said they are not fazed by facing Sofapaka in the final.
