Kalenjin elders from Talai clan have said they will spell a curse on those who allegedly killed ICC witness Meshack Yebei.
Both Yebei's family and Yusuf Hussein's family have claimed a body found at River Yala, Nandi county, last December 28.
Fingerprint analysis had indicated the body to be that of Hussein, who allegedly went missing last December 25.
CID Head of Serious Crimes John Kariuki could not confirm yesterday when DNA results will be out.
Elders Christopher arap Koiyogi and Mzee Silvester arap Chemwoor told the Star Yebei’s family will carry out parallel DNA tests in South Africa.
Speaking in Kapsabet town, the elders said they are convinced that Yebei, 40, is no longer alive.
They said they will carry out a blood ritual at Yebei’s home at Kaptebee near Turbo, Uasin Gishu county.
“We have contacted traditional Laibons (medicine men) from Maasai, Pokot, Sabaot and the Nandi because we have to teach the culprits a lesson,” Chemwoor said.
Koiyogi urged the "murderers" to confess and pay nine herds of cattle to escape the curse.
