You can finally put a face to Rhoda Odhiambo's voice following her video interview with radiojambo.co.ke about her most memorable experience from her first visit to the countryside.
Born in Nairobi, Rhoda's first trip to her rural home did not come during the best of times as she was attending the burial of her grandfather who passed on when she was 9 years old.
Rhoda does not have fond memories of that visit as she could not enjoy herself as much as she had wanted but highlighted her high school days as giving her most memorable experience in the countryside. The newsreader studied at a school close to her rural home during that time and the experience transformed her in many aspects as she learnt to speak Luo, acquainted herself with neighbouring towns and villages and also learnt how to do some chores that city life had "robbed" her an opportunity of executing.
