Harambee Stars held their first training session at the Estadio Lino Correia in Guinea-Bissau, shortly after arriving in the West African nation on Monday evening.
Coach Stanley Okumbi was impressed by his charges' sharpness and focus, and expressed optimism about getting a positive result.
Kenya faces Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday night in a crucial AFCON 2017 qualifier.
A win will revive Kenya's hopes of appearing at the continent's greatest football showpiece for the first time since 2004.
Kenya and Guinea-Bissau are tied at the bottom of Group E, with one point from two matches, but Harambee Stars is ranked higher on goal difference.

Leaders from the 13 qualifier groups and the two best second-placed teams will qualify for the tournament. Gabon have already qualified as hosts.
With that, Harambee Stars have to get six points from Guinea-Bissau and results against Zambia and Congo-Brazzaville to assure themselves of a top spot.
Kenya drew 1-1 away to Congo-Brazzaville in June last year, before losing 2-1 at home to Zambia in September.
