Cases of people perishing in road accidents have been rampant in recent past. Yesternight, five people perished in a grisly road accident along the Masii-Tawa road and several were injured after a bus they were travelling in overturned.

According to sources, the bus belonging to AIC Kathithyamaa was carrying people from Tawa where they had attended a 'dowry paying ceremony' back to Maweli but on their return journey, the accident happened.

The injured were rushed to Tawa Hospital for treatment.
