Cristiano Ronaldo successfully defended his World player of the year title after he won his second successive FIFA ballon d'Or award, to make it three overall, after stellar performances in 2014.
To celebrate Ronaldo's remarkable win, Nike who are the Portuguese forward's official boot sponsors, marked the fete with a pair of personalised diamond-studded boots, shortly after the Nike athlete had sliced the gap between him and Messi; in the number of the Ballon d'Or titles to just one.
