Cristiano Ronaldo was shown a straight red card in the 82nd minute of the match against Córdoba.
The Portuguese was sent off for kicking out at Edimar. Ref Alejandro Hernández Hernández was in no doubt and immediately pulled out the red card while a fracas broke out in the Córdoba penalty area.
Ronaldo later apologized for his behaviour won twitter with a tweet that read, in Spanish, "I would like to apologise to everyone, and especially Edimar, for my rash actions during today's match."
